Meditation represented a midpoint in the artist’s life where she found temporal peace in Buddhism. However, just like many others who suffered mental illness and turned to religion for guidance, the artist continually questioned and challenged her belief. Nonetheless, the meditation stage had brought her some tranquility and she decided to share her experience through vivid, bold strokes and a surreal design.
Meditation was done in Chinese ink on 9x12 inch paper. Original still available for purchase.
