Don’t talk about the things happening in your family and private life, it’s such a disgrace. Handle the problems within yourself, and only bring home the good news. The Asian culture encourages unaddressed trauma, preaching that each family has an ugly book hidden under the counter, telling children struggling with abuse and mental health issues to sweep the problems under the carpet.

But untreated wounds will rot. To break the generational curse of depression, abuse, and codependency, we must face the demon from our past and within our bloodline.

The first step towards healing is acknowledgment.
