Bedtime Stories

佛說

My homeland spent 10 years tearing down her own heritage — I don’t know if there’s anything culturally sadder than that. Growing up, I was the strange child buried in old books and scrolls. I found peace, answers, and wisdom in my ancestors’ words. After I moved to the States, I realized the challenges in translating my heritage to someone grew up in a completely different culture with words, so I wondered — what would be a better way for me to share the feelings, guidance, and enlightenments my culture gave me with someone who doesn’t speak my language?
