Performance is an interesting word. When we put on a front, we are called hypocrites. But why? It is hard work to know how to walk a fine line on the border of sanity and normalcy.

Through the years I have learned to watch my own red flags. One wrong move and the toxin carried by those pufferfish will shoot through my veins. Yet regardless of the distress, we remain elegant and prideful, holding our heads high like goddesses. Because that's what we have trained ourselves to do. And nothing can nor will bring us down.
