Short Statement

My art is a form of shadow work that navigates me through my journey as a diasporic Chinese woman in the US and how I rediscover and reconstruct my identity. Using whatever medium makes sense, I explore our relationships with the world, nature, and each other and how we communicate, intertwine, and interact with each other in a continually dividing world. Utilizing the profound Asian mythologies, literature, and philosophy, my art serves as a bridge to acknowledgment and awareness. My art is a lens through which we see who we are, our ideologies and fears, our strengths and weaknesses — our most crude yet refined form.
