The Story Behind

This girl has been sitting on my easel for nearly a month and took midnight Zoom art jam with a fellow artist in Florida to finally get it completed.

And as much of an expressive writer, I usually am on my paintings, this one has so many emotional values to me that I actually do not know what to write about to explain the meanings behind this painting.

The color was the boldest I've ever done. I blended in a lot of new techniques I've been learning from my mentor. It speaks for itself as it wrapped up my emotional progression and struggles at the same time all in one space. It was a spinoff of multiple concepts, lyrics and other ideas I've jotted down.

What did I use for this? Watercolor, collage, markers, gouache, fabric... I don't know. This one has very special value to me, personally. Maybe that's why I don't know what I should write to explain the messages she is presenting.
